How we decide which ideas go into the product?

Product Development generally considers ideas based on the below criteria:

Desirability

Do customers want it?

Determined by
  • No. of customer Votes
  • Has the idea been brought up before from other customers by other means?

Viability

Does it make business sense for SAP?

Determined by
  • Is it aligned with the product roadmap (i.e. the future direction of the product)?
  • Does it fit with SAP corporate and market strategy?
  • Are there other ideas that have higher priority because they provide more business value to more customers?

Feasibility

Is it technically possible to build?

Determined by
  • Will it destabilize the core product or other features?
  • How much time will take to build?
  • Is resource time available with all other requirements needing to be built?

How do I know where my idea is in your process?

Idea statuses show you where your idea is.
